In addition to the multitude of smaller special events and meetings InterAction hosts throughout the year, we also convene three larger annual events - the Forum, Progress Against Poverty Week and the CEO Retreat.

InterAction Forum

The annual InterAction Forum brings together hundreds of leaders from across the corporate, government and not-for-profit sectors who actively support or work directly with local communities in the developing world to end global poverty. Forum participants examine new trends within a wide array of issues, advocate in support of our coalition’s work on Capitol Hill, discuss critical newsworthy topics, preview new evaluative tools, share lessons learned since the last Forum, and network with colleagues and policymakers from across the country and the developing world. Overall, the InterAction Forum offers those working on diverse global issues a unique opportunity to join forces and develop ways to solve common problems.

Progress Against Poverty Week

InterAction’s Progress Against Poverty Week is a yearly October event developed to bring to light the collective achievements made by the U.S.-based coalition of nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) in the fight to end global poverty. Held the same week as the annual International Day for the Eradication of Poverty on October 17, specific themes are highlighted throughout the week and advanced through a series of live events and social media.

InterAction CEO Retreat

InterAction’s member CEOs come together every December in Washington, D.C., for a private, two-day retreat, during which they debate and discuss coalition work, opportunities to collaborate on joint projects, current trends and the status of the economic and political climate and its impact on the community.
