Counterpart International Wins Nonprofit PR Award

InterAction member Counterpart International won a top honor in the Nonprofit PR Awards last week. Counterpart won a national award for Best Video and/or Podcast Program for a video showcasing a tourism program in rural Guatemala.

The Nonprofit PR Awards, organized by PR News, were announced at the National Press Club on March 15.

The award-winning six minute video highlights the success stories from tourism workers and community leaders who discussed how they had benefited from Counterpart’s program.

“We’re excited and honored to win in this very competitive category,” said Joan Parker, president and CEO of Counterpart. “Our outstanding team in Guatemala led by Rony Mejia should be recognized for running a program that is truly making a difference for thousands of people."
