Gayle Smith to speak at InterAction Forum
Gayle Smith will commence InterAction Forum opening day plenary session “From Failing States to Development – A Giant Leap.”
Smith is Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director at the National Security Council, where she is responsible for global democracy, development, stabilization, and humanitarian assistance issues. She was previously a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress, Co-Chair of the ENOUGH Project, and Co-Founder of the Modernizing Foreign Assistance Network, and has over 20 years of journalistic experience in Africa covering a wide variety of military, economic, and political issues.
