InterAction member organizations and people worldwide are marking the International Day of Peace today. This day was established in 1981 by the United Nations and first celebrated on Sept 22, 1982. Its aim is to encourage all of mankind to work in cooperation for peace. In addition to the International Day of Peace, it is also a Global Day of Ceasefire, created to allow humanitarian workers to reach civilians in need during conflicts.

InterAction’s member organizations and employees are working in support of peace every day.
