June Newsletter Features New Board Chair, G8 Highlights and #NotJustNumbers Advocacy
InterAction and its member NGOs are urging Americans to tell their elected officials that proposed cuts to life-saving and anti-poverty programs are not just numbers but people's lives.
The #NotJustNumbers social media campaign is highlighted in InterAction's June newsletter, at a time when leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives have proposed significant and disproportionate cuts to critical foreign assistance programs.
The June newsletter also features a profile with Neal Keny-Guyer, CEO of Mercy Corps and InterAction's new board chair, as well as information on a new young professionals group. It highlights the G8 Summit and preceding Nutrition for Growth Summit, including a commitment by InterAction members to contribute $750 million in private funds to nutrition programs over the next five years. Plus see what InterAction and its members are saying on the G8 and Nutrition for Growth summits in The Huffington Post.
