May Newsletter Highlights New Maps, Post-2015 and G8
World leaders from G8 countries, meeting next month, must do the "hard work" of adopting transparency as a standard operating procedure, InterAction's John Ruthrauff says in a recent article featured in InterAction's May newsletter.
Ruthrauff's recommendations for those attending the high-level gathering also include implementing and enforcing international anti-corruption conventions, as well as bolstering sustained support for smallholder farmers.
Ruthrauff's piece is one of several items highlighted in this month's newsletter. Other highlights include an op-ed by InterAction's Suzanne Kindervatter urging U.S. leadership in the post-2015 process, an article on NGO Aid Map's three new maps, and videos plus news coverage from InterAction's recent Forum event.
The three new maps, funded by FedEx, are part of an ambitious effort launched two years ago to map the projects of InterAction members all over the world. In addition to maps of Haiti, food security worldwide, and food security in the Horn of Africa, NGO Aid Map now charts projects in China, India and Mexico.
