Member news: International Housing Coalition welcomes new president, Susan Corts Hill

InterAction member The International Housing Coalition (IHC), a nonprofit, education, advocacy and applied research organization officially welcomed Susan Corts Hill as its new president and CEO July 1, 2011.

Most recently, Hill was in private practice with the law firm McKenna Long & Aldridge. She has extensive expertise in the field of housing and urban development, both domestically and internationally. She has served as the director of public policy for Habitat for Humanity International and as a special assistant to the secretary’s chief of staff at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

“She is committed to the goals of the IHC, has direct experience in housing and knows how government and the private sector need to partner together to make foreign aid effective and efficient,” said outgoing IHC President and CEO Bob Dubinsky.

“Working with a wide range of partners, the IHC will continue to make the case that urbanization of the developing world is a central development issue of the 21st Century,” Dubinsky said, adding that “addressing urbanization effectively requires rethinking how foreign assistance is provided.”
