Today, USAID will symbolically try to reach 13.3 million people by forwarding information about the Horn of Africa crisis through their FWD (Famine, War and Drought) initiative.
So, what can you do to help? Spread the word:
- Learn about how U.S. foreign assistance helps try to prevent these crises and mitigate their impact when they do happen
- Share our Horn of Africa Aid Map, which shows which of our members is doing what in different areas of the Horn of Africa
- Share USAID’s “FWD Fact of the Day” on Facebook, Twitter and email
- Tweet out facts about the Horn of Africa crisis using the hashtag #FWD or #HornOfAfrica
- Encourage people to retweet your messages or share them with their own networks on Facebook or other social media services
This crisis has been undervoiced for far too long. Help make sure 13.3 million people hear about this today, so that they demand an end to this atrocity.
