World Bank’s Global Partnership for Enhanced Social Accountability

The World Bank has launched public consultations on a new partnership that aims to make development more effective. The partnership’s goal is to improve beneficiary feedback and bolster the capacity of civil society. The proposed Global Partnership for Enhanced Social Accountability (GPESA) is open for public comment through the end of February via an interactive website launched by the bank.

The website contains a Consultation Note and Plan, a power point briefing on key concepts and principles, and summaries of early discussions on the proposed partnership. The site also contains an online questionnaire for feedback. Further information can be found at www.worldbank.org/gpesa. Any questions about the new project can be emailed to gpesa@worldbank.org.
