Want To Shape The Conversation At The 2012 Forum?
It may seem like the 2011 Forum just ended, but the next one is right around the corner! April 30 through May 2, 2012, over 1,000 NGO professionals from around the globe will be gathering at the Marriot Crystal Gateway in Arlington, VA. Attendees will get the opportunity to participate in conversations around the most pressing issues facing our community.
Do you have an issue that you think should be discussed? A call for workshops for the 2012 Forum has been released and the deadline for proposals in November 15. In 2011 the forum included 46 workshops on a diverse array of topics featuring over 150 expert presenters and panelists.
We encourage you to submit any ideas that you may have. Just keep in mind that workshops should be tightly focused on a central topic, actively engage the audience, and provide participants with a substantial learning experience. Topics should address current and relevant issues critical to the international development and humanitarian assistance arenas. The most effective workshops have a clear objective and a means to achieve that objective. Although the Forum tends to center on a few main themes, workshops tend to be diverse and topics for submission should not be limited to event themes. Also, please note that workshop proposals promoting a specific program or commercial product will not be accepted. Workshops that showcase diversity in programming and perspective are requested.
If you have questions about the process, please contact me at lbrogan@interaction.org. We look forward to seeing your proposals!
