ActionAid International USA's Response to Horn Of Africa Drought Crisis
Operational Summary:
ActionAid continues to support drought-affected people in parts of North and Northeastern Kenya, and has reached over 370,000 people with emergency food and water supplies. ActionAid and local partners work with communities to identify the most vulnerable individuals and families and to design the most appropriate programs. In addition to providing life-saving food and water, ActionAid is also supporting livelihoods and income generation projects that build the long term resilience of the communities. We continue to advocate for improved policies at the local, national and international level, with the goal of reducing the impact of future droughts on people living in poverty.
