Helping Hand for Relief and Development's Response to Horn Of Africa Drought Crisis
Operational Summary:
In emergency phase of the crisis, HHRD distributed food, water through trucks, basic healthcare, and in-kind gifts sent from USA, and plans to continue these efforts. For short & long-term rehabilitation projects starting April 2012, HHRD will be working in the areas of orphan support, healthcare, women empowerment, education, poverty eradication, and in-kind gifts, touching the lives of 300,000+ persons in dire situations in Ethiopia, Djibouti, Kenya, Somalia, Somaliland, & Tanzania.
