Operational Summary:

The IRC runs a hospital in Hagadera Camp in Dadaab, Kenya that offers lifesaving medical and nutrition services for thousands of Somali refugees. The IRC also provides treatment, counseling and protection for survivors of sexual violence. In drought-hit Turkana, the IRC feeds malnourished Kenyan children and drills and repairs water sources. In Ethiopia, the IRC provides water to 147,000 Somali refugees and targeted aid for vulnerable women. The IRC also helps people affected by drought in Somalia. We operate three primary health care centers in Mogadishu, provide water & sanitation to some 30,000 people in central Somalia, and cash, food vouchers and veterinary services to families who lost pasture, livestock and food supplies.
