Jesuit Refugee Service / USA's Response to Syria Crisis
Operational Summary:
JRS is accompanying and serving refugees in Aleppo, Damascus and Homs, Syria in the following areas: psychosocial support programs; food security (feeding 10,000+ people a day); managing schools that are providing shelter; educational support and opportunities for children to create handicrafts, music and art to encourage self-expression and emotional release from the trauma of conflict. JRS also has programs in Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey to support refugees.
