Save the Children's Response to Horn Of Africa Drought Crisis
Save the Children has been operating in Ethiopia, Kenya and Somalia over the last 20 years, which enabled us to monitor deteriorating conditions and to intervene early to alleviate children’s suffering. Over the course of the Horn of Africa Response, Save the Children and its local partners have reached over 2.5 million people. The response includes interventions in emergency nutrition, food distribution, food security & livelihoods, health response, water source rehabilitation, and distribution of non food items. Save the Children response to the refugee crisis that has compounded the crisis has also included significant child protection and emergency education interventions.
