World Vision, United States's Response to Horn Of Africa Drought Crisis
Since March 2011, World Vision responded to the Horn of Africa Drought through the provision of WASH, food, health & nutrition, child protection, shelter, NFIs, and livelihoods interventions in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and Tanzania. To date, World Visions's response reached a total of 1,468,829 estimated beneficiaries in Ethiopia, 519,611, 113,080 in Kenya, 221,128 in Somalia, and 62,721 in Tanzania. World Vision International was able to mobilize $86,385,557USD to meet the life-saving needs of drought-affected children and their families.
