Operational Summary:
The American Refugee Committee has a team on the ground in Kyrgyzstan responding to the nearly 400,000 people seeking refuge on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border in the wake of the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the region. The team is being led by ARC’s Country Director for Pakistan, Edgarh Cosic, who has extensive experience in emergency response and significant central Asia expertise. The team has already reached out to the Kyrgyzstan Ministry of Health, United Nations, and other partner organizations and actors working on the ground.
