Operational Summary:
Handicap International’s emergency response team began distributing drinking water and other emergency supplies to flood victims in Pakistan on August 1 in the province of Khyber Pashtoun Khan, particularly in Kohat and Mingora, and in rural areas. As of September 8, we provided at least 115,000 people with aid. Almost 7,000 emergency packs have been distributed and we are continuing to distribute drinking water in the northwest, while increasing our provision of aid in the district of Tank and in Sind province, in the south of the country. Handicap International is also planning to distribute winter packs in anticipation of the imminent arrival of cold weather.
