InterAction’s members respond to natural disasters and complex emergencies around the globe, drawing on decades of professional experience. With funding from private donors, governments and the UN, U.S. NGOs are able to provide direct disaster relief, bring in supplies and commodities and help communities recover. Through the Humanitarian Policy & Practice Team, InterAction assists its members to educate the public, coordinate with one another, engage and advocate with other actors in the international humanitarian community and increase professionalism through work on InterAction’s Private Voluntary Organization (PVO) Standards, engagement with the Sphere Project and other initiatives.
InterAction's Member Activity Reports offer international agencies, NGOs, the media and the public an in-depth look at the humanitarian and development assistance that InterAction member organizations are providing to people in various countries.
