Computerworld has named ChildFund International a 2013 Computerworld Honors Laureate in the human service category for its Office in a Box program. The program replaces antiquated technology systems in field offices with an affordable, wide area network (WAN) solution to increase staff productivity and efficiency – both critical for an international child development organization that assists 17.8 million children and family members living in poverty. Three million children have been affected so far, and the numbers will continue to rise as the conflict continues.
