The cholera outbreak that began in October 2010 is showing signs of easing, particularly following the end
of the rainy season. InterAction members and their partners have implemented hygiene promotion
campaigns, operated Cholera Treatment Centers (CTC), and distributed oral rehydration salts. A major
health challenge is still the limited capacity at local hospitals.
