On October 29th and 30th almost 100 representatives from NGOs, the U.S. government, the UN, academic institutions and think tanks met to discuss how emergency programming in health can be better implemented to facilitate a smoother transition to recovery and development. InterAction and the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) co-sponsored the event, which was hosted by the American Red Cross. This is the report from that meeting.
