Our efforts in Haiti continue as we meet the current rehabilitation needs of the amputees through an amputee clinic being managed at the Albert Schweitzer Hospital in the Central Plateau by Hanger Orthopedics, Christian Medical Mission Board, and other founding members of the Haitian Amputee Coalition, including Physicians for Peace. Physicians for Peace has sent numerous physical therapists and shipments of crutches and high quality prosthetic components to the clinic. The clinic has produced over 450 prostheses for amputee victims, more than any other site in Haiti.
