Education Development Center, Inc. (EDC) has continued to support Haiti through the Haiti Out-of-School Livelihood Initiative (locally known as IDEJEN). We started this project in 2003 and it has recently transitioned into a local NGO. The project—and now the NGO—provides non-formal basic education, vocational training, and livelihood support to out-of-school youth aged 15-24 in Haiti.
