Event Description:

What are the factors in creating a great place to work and why is it important? What are some of the good practices leaders have implemented in their offices to build operational excellence? What are the essentials of effective decision-making?

Day 1 of this workshop will contain three sessions that will provide answers to these questions through tools, models, and case studies. The Great Place to Work Institute (GPTW) for  25 years has researched workplaces around the globe and across sectors and has identified the essential ingredients and best practices associated with developing and maintaining successful organizations. GPTW will share benchmarks and approaches that will provide you ideas for action and change in your organization. A second session will offer a panel of senior NGO leaders who will discuss how they have been working to transform their operations for greater effectiveness and overall impact. The day will conclude with a session on effective decision making, an essential component of high impact workplaces and skill for strategic leaders.

Tensions among teams, department obstacles, and communication confusion are issues that leaders and managers must be equipped to address. Day 2 will provide tools and techniques for  “in the Moment Management.” The first session will begin by examining proven approaches for building successful relationships, as well as offer techniques for effective conflict resolution and mitigation.  An afternoon session will provide attendees with tools and methods such as problem mapping, brainstorming solutions, and viewing alternative options.
