Forum 2009: "The Next 25 Years Start Today" concluded on Thursday, July 9, after bringing together more than 700 NGO, corporate and government leaders to celebrate the accomplishments of the development and humanitarian communities and look to the future to find opportunities with improved and increased collaboration among nonprofits, corporations, government and foundations.

Featured speakers and panelists at Forum 2009 included human rights activist John Dau, one of the “Lost Boys of Sudan”; award-winning actor Anthony Edwards, best known from the series ER and Chairman of Shoe4Africa; and Susan Smith Ellis, CEO of (RED), the brand partnership to raise support for the fight against AIDS. This year’s Honoring Champions Gala Banquet was a wonderful evening of reflection and celebration as participants recognized the achievements of individuals and organizations within the NGO community and enjoyed a rich array of live entertainment, including a special performance by the Capitol Steps.

Colleagues from the nonprofit community, corporations, think tanks, universities, government and foundations participated in an engaging lineup of thought-provoking sessions, interactive workshops, prominent keynote speakers and networking opportunities.
