In poor communities throughout the developing world, InterAction’s 180 members meet people halfway in expanding opportunities and supporting efforts to improve education, health care, gender equality, agriculture, small business, disaster response, refugee protection and other areas.

In a time of growing interdependence—a moment in which climate change spawns disease and economic instability leads to political unrest—members’ on-the-ground activities provide our coalition with grassroots insights to deliver innovative and integrated solutions to our world’s common challenges. As a convener of the U.S.-based NGO community, InterAction creates a forum for dialogue and shared learning to help members strengthen and assess the effectiveness of their poverty reduction, sustainable development and humanitarian initiatives.

InterAction publications like Monday Developments highlight the pioneering expertise of our network through analyses of successful models—from microcredit lending strategies to rural health education. Working closely with members and other thought leaders, InterAction develops and disseminates practical tools and up-to-date information to improve field programs as well as NGO operations, security and coordination.
