THE ISSUE:

Jan Egeland in Democratic Republic of Congo, Eddy Isango/IRINIn recent years, the safety of humanitarian workers in the field has become more and more compromised. Aid workers are increasingly and deliberately targeted for violence, with diminishing regard being shown to their neutrality. In this issue of Monday Developments, we’ll explore the security issues facing foreign aid workers today, and pay tribute to those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
