Holt International Children’s Services

Statement of Purpose

Holt International Children’s Services is dedicated to carrying out God’s plan for every child to have a permanent loving home through family preservation, in-country adoption, and international adoption.

Programs & Activities

Placement of Children
Holt International has supported overseas adoption programs that have provided permanent homes in the US for nearly 40,000 children since 1955. In countries overseas, each year Holt supports several thousand placements through family reunification and domestic adoption programs.

Post adoption Services
Holt International provides services for children who are adopted from other countries. Each year, Holt sponsors heritage camps for adoptees. The campers learn about their cultural heritage and network with other adopted children. Camps are held in Oregon, Nebraska, and New Jersey.

Services Provided to Children in the Country of their Birth
Holt International supports direct child care centers, foster care, day care, student sponsorship, medical treatment/therapy, child development programs, legal services, and nutritional services.

Services Provided to Families
In an effort to foster healthy environments for children, Holt International also provides assistance to families-in-need through family strengthening and unwed parent program.

US Domestic Program
Holt International has programs specifically for the state of Oregon. Holt’s services range from counseling unwed parents to the placement of children throughout the state.
