Download Achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs): The Road Forward for the U.S.

InterAction looks to the September 20-22, 2010 UN Millennium Development Goals Summit to address the progress of the eight goals set upon to slash poverty, hunger, child and maternal mortality, preventable disease, and other ills by a 2015 deadline. With only five years left to achieve them, U.S.-based international NGOs are wondering if the U.S. government will do its part to meet the goals.

To move the U.S. policy discussion forward, InterAction’s policy paper, Achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs): The Road Forward for the U.S., outlines key recommendations from the U.S. NGO community on each of the eight MDGs that it strongly believes the Obama administration should include in its U.S. action plan to be presented at the MDG Summit in September 2010. View the list of member organizations and partners who have contributed to the paper.
