InterAction Members Respond to the Crisis in Ivory Coast and Liberia
Elections were held in Ivory Coast in November 2010. Since that time, two candidates have been disputing the outcome and vying for control of the country. Violence has ensued between the supporters of incumbent president Laurent Gbagbo and former prime minister Alassane Ouatarra resulting in large numbers of displaced persons inside Ivory Coast and growing numbers of refugees in Liberia.
