Nurturing, learning from, improving and eventually judging the effectiveness of our work requires processes and tools commonly understood as monitoring and evaluation (M&E). When integrated deliberately into our work and conducted with appropriate rigor, M&E supports learning and quality improvement at an intervention, program or sector level, for a population or area, as well as for an organization itself. Tracking and assessing our work allows us to make crucial improvements to our performance and offers invaluable assurance to our partners that their collaboration with us produces positive change.
InterAction’s Evaluation and Program Effectiveness Working Group (EPEWG) is dedicated to enhancing the capacity of its members to demonstrate effectiveness and informing donor policies and practices on monitoring and evaluation. The working group is currently focused on three areas:
The EPEWG is open to InterAction members only. Non-members are welcome to join our Evaluation Interest Group (EIG), which receives most EPEWG updates and is invited to participate in many EPEWG events. To join either the EPEWG or EIG listserv, please contact Laia Grino [4].
