Forum: Thanks, and Looking Forward....
May 2, 2012
Getting to see the last several Forums has been a real privilege for me. Watching it grow, watching how keyed up people get when they come, getting to see new connections made … it makes it worth every drop of sweat that we at InterAction put into Forum. I’d like to take a moment to thank all of you who are jumping into our multimedia with us. Thanks to the hundreds of you joining us using the #IAForum... Read More >>>
Forum: Exploring the Exhibit Hall
May 1, 2012
I love the exhibit hall at Forum – it’s such a hub of activity. During exhibit hours, attendees can come and connect with other organizations that can help them grow their work. Last night, we had a rocking happy hour and scavenger hunt there, and it was great to see attendees connecting with each other and finding ways to help each others’ work. And it’s not always limited to work, either.... Read More >>>
Forum: Making Connections
April 30, 2012
One of my favorite things about Forum is connecting with others. As a communications professional, I’m pretty tied to my computer, so Forum gives me the opportunity to meet people I regularly connect with, or catching up with old colleagues who’ve moved on to other organizations. There are a few people who I’m incredibly eager to meet after having worked with them for so long. I hope I can find... Read More >>>
Forum, Here We Come!
April 27, 2012
When I realized a few months ago that this would be my fifth Forum as InterAction staff, I’ll admit it kind of blew my mind. It feels like only yesterday that I was starting here, just a few short weeks before Forum 2008. I had no idea what to expect then, but now it’s … well, I won’t say it’s “a breeze,” because we work our hearts out putting this show on every year, but... Read More >>>

    Working Groups are a central part of the way InterAction supports and aids its members. Working Groups are first and foremost a place for member agencies to share information that is important to them in several ways:

    • by providing a way for member organizations to share information about field-based issues, concerns, and topics;
    • by serving as a place for members to receive training and to share best practices with each other; and
    • by offering a space for members to develop new products and materials on a given topic.

    Working Groups are member driven and supported by InterAction staff (with the exception of a few non-staffed working groups). Members identify an interest, issue area, or need around which they feel their collective voices will clarify or strengthen responses. Depending on the number of member organizations interested, a meeting or consultation is planned to explore the topic and allow members to share their issues and concerns. Such consultations or exploratory meetings may lead to the formation of an on-going Working Group.

    InterAction's current working groups are described below. For more information on a specific working group, contact the group's staff contact.
