InterAction - Refugees

"Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can." -- John Wesley

"Some people give time, some money, some their skills and connections, some literally give their life's blood. But everyone has something to give."
   -- Barbara Bush

If you are interested in helping refugees, one can help in a variety of ways, such as hosting a refugee while they find work and a home of their own, tutoring refugees and their children to help further their general education or learn a new language, organize a fundraiser, collect items to donate such as blankets, clothing, food, medical items, and so on --  the possibilities are truly endless!  All you need is you, and a desire to help others to change the world!!

“Volunteerism is both reactive and proactive.  It is a response to current events, social problems, and community needs that volunteers are often the first to identify.  Volunteers can take action before institutions and government are willing to offer services.  As such, volunteers are pioneers and experimenters, unlimited by the restrictions of tradition, public statutes, need to make a profit, or availability of initial funds.” “Volunteerism: The Outlook for Tomorrow” by Susan J. Ellis and Katherine H. Noyes from By the People: A History of Americans as Volunteers, rev. ed. (www.energizeinc.com/art/abyt.html)
