Staff Care refers to self-care techniques and institutional responses to stress among humanitarian workers in particularly difficult and stressful environments. As humanitarian work becomes more challenging, NGO leaders and donors increasingly recognize that investing in staff care is not only the right thing to do but is cost-effective too, and many are incorporating low-cost, high-impact interventions into their programming and policies in the field and at headquarters.
