InterAction tracks and advocates for U.S. government investment in poverty-focused international development and humanitarian assistance, working to increase spending for 12 appropriations accounts that fund the programs of USAID, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator, and the State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, among others. This work includes advocating early in the budget cycle for funding for the International Affairs function (Function 150) in the federal and congressional budgets and for robust allocations for the appropriations subcommittees that fund these programs.
