Ken Forsberg
Ken Forsberg serves as Senior Policy Manager, working on special projects. From 2006 until 2012, Ken led InterAction’s budget and appropriations analysis and advocacy. Ken's background includes a mix of academic, international and legislative experience. From 2002-2004, he was a Legislative Assistant/Associate in the office of U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (IL). Prior to that, he did legislative, research, and press work at Common Cause in 2001 and 2002, and served as a Legislative Aide in the office of U.S. Senator Bob Kerrey (NE) in 2000. His international experience includes a year abroad in Sweden as an undergraduate, two years in Ghana as a Peace Corps math teacher, and dissertation research – into the motivations behind official international disaster relief – in Sweden, Mexico, and Mali. Ken holds a Ph.D. in Government/International Relations from Cornell University, and a B.S. in Applied Math, Engineering, and Physics from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
