Samuel A. Worthington Honored By The NonProfit Times

InterAction’s president & CEO, Samuel A. Worthington, has been honored as one of the “Power & Influence Top 50 2012” by The NonProfit Times.

For the last 15 years, The NonProfit Times has honored the lead influencers in the nonprofit sector, from NGOs and foundations alike. As the article highlights, “Today’s leaders have found the way to innovate and manage through these evolving structures. Many of the challenges of 15 years ago have re-emerged – homelessness, unemployment, healthcare – and nonprofits will prove to be right in the thick of these areas as is typical.”

Worthington was honored for his work on the evolution of international development stakeholders, such as connecting civil society with the private sector, and for his leadership on such issues as protesting the CIA’s use of vaccination programs for nonhumanitarian purposes.
