Together Project Hosts Solidarity Breakfast

Together Project Hosts Solidarity Breakfast

The inaugural year of the Together Project was a success and the members are gearing up to continue growing and advocating on behalf of the most vulnerable organizations in the sector. InterAction launched the Together Project to be a hub of advocacy and solidarity for U.S.-based NGOs that provide vital development and humanitarian relief around the world, and confront discrimination or targeted prejudicial regulations in the U.S. due to their operating principles or religious faith.  The project has successfully developed its mission, goals and structure; established partnerships with relevant stakeholders; and launched both a working group and advocacy team over the past year. The Together Project has been able to gain momentum and strength within the sector on several fronts largely due to the shared experiences of frustration and concern faced by NGOs today.

On Thursday, February 8th, during the first annual Together Project Solidarity Breakfast, members celebrated the accomplishments of the project so far and showed appreciation to the sector for its support as the project continues to build solidarity for its priorities. The project welcomes the interest, support, and outright excitement from individuals, groups, and organizations in just a short time. Sincere thanks to each organization and individual, for all the work necessary, to launch the Together Project. InterAction and the Together Coalition is committed to moving the project forward this year and the years to come.
