CARE's Response to Hurricane Matthew Crisis

Operational Summary: 

CARE began distributing food and clean water to people in Jeremie before the hurricane hit, having delivered 12,000 hot meals to emergency shelters in Grand Anse, Port-au-Price and the southeast departments in the Southern Peninsula of Haiti. CARE is distributing hygiene kits for cholera prevention, plastic tarps for emergency shelter and water purification tablets for clean drinking water, specifically providing 500 kits, 2,500 tarps, and 6,000 tablets in southeast Haiti. Supporters can learn more about CARE's response and donate at www.care.org/emergencies/hurricane-matthew.
