International Medical Corps's Response to Hurricane Matthew Crisis

Operational Summary: 

International Medical Corps’ emergency response team is on the ground in southwestern Haiti, providing relief and assessing conditions in some of the communities hardest hit by the hurricane. International Medical Corps is working to meet the most pressing needs, including supporting health centers and providing water, sanitation, and hygiene programs to prevent the spread of disease, particularly cholera.

International Medical Corps currently provides ongoing humanitarian assistance to those in need in northern and western Haiti. The organization responded to the magnitude 7.0 earthquake that devastated Haiti in 2010 and later that year to Hurricane Tomas and an outbreak of cholera.
