Oxfam America's Response to Horn Of Africa Drought Crisis

Operational Summary: 

Oxfam is providing a comprehensive response to the ongoing drought emergency in Ethiopia, focusing on providing water and sanitation, emergency food security, and support for livelihoods recovery through cash-for-work activities, supplementary food for children and women, seeds for farmers, veterinary support for livestock, and rehabilitation of water points. The overall program has benefitted 273,457 drought-affected people in Tigray and Oromia states. Oxfam’s approach in Ethiopia is to work with local partner groups to provide emergency aid that also helps communities build their resilience to future hardship.
