Responding to Relevance: LWR's Practical Successes and Failures in Learning

Lutheran World Relief has experimented with several learning approaches and platforms with varying degrees of success. Three recent examples highlight how the relevance of the content to the participants in each approach has influenced its success. These examples highlight the concept of “nice to know” versus “need to know” and how that is related to relevance and the amount of facilitation needed to ensure success.This presentation was made by Garrett Schiche of Lutheran World Relief during the second webinar in a learning and knowledge management webinar series.
