The 2018 G7 Charlevoix Scorecard assesses commitments made by G7 countries against policy recommendations developed by the G7/G20 Advocacy Alliance on the following issues:

  • Responsible Business Conduct
  • Sustainability: Climate, Energy, and Infrastructure

This policy brief contains the recommendations of the Peace and Security policy team of the G7/G20 Advocacy Alliance (U.S.), a group of 54 non-governmental organizations. They call on the G7 to take the following actions to enhance peace and security.

When G20 leaders meet in Buenos Aires, Argentina in November, it is imperative that they take action to address the needs of people in the world's poorest and most vulnerable countries. This policy paper contains the recommendations of the G7/G20 Advocacy Alliance, a group of 54 nongovernmental organizations, for the G20 to take specific actions in the areas of anti-corruption, early childhood development, food security and nutrition, gender equality, global health, responsible business conduct, and sustainability.

When G7 leaders meet in Charlevoix, Canada in June, it is imperative that they take action to address the needs of people in the world's poorest and most vulnerable countries. This policy paper contains the recommendations of the G7/G20 Advocacy Alliance, a group of 54 nongovernmental organizations, for the U.S. government to play a leading role in encouraging the G7 to take specific actions in the areas of education in emergencies, food security and nutrition, gender equality, global health, peace and security, responsible business conduct, and sustainability.

The 2017 G20 Summit Scorecard measures commitments made in G20 official documents against policy recommendations developed by the G7/G20 Advocacy Alliance on the following issues:

  • Refugee Crisis
  • Responsible Business Conduct
  • Sustainability: Infrastructure, Energy and Climate
  • Women's Economic Empowerment

This annex identifies tasks that were delegated to international organizations (IOs) by the G7 in 2017 in different priority areas. In addition to identifying the task(s) that the G7 mandated IOs to carry out, this annex describes the status of these tasks (i.e., whether the task has been completed, or when it will be completed).

The tasks listed in the table below were delegated by the 2017 G7 communiqués and endorsed documents. The annex identifies only those tasks that were specifically mandated by the G7 in a given declaration. Consequently, no tasks are listed under: Food Security and Nutrition, Global Health, Refugee Crisis, or Responsible Business Conduct.

Compared to the 2016 declaration, there are fewer specific commitments, concrete deadlines, or actions for civil society to hold G7 countries accountable. Furthermore, no specific commitments or concrete actions were stated in the endorsed/official documents on the topic of the global refugee crisis.
