Fairtrade America

Fairtrade America is a non-profit organization based in Washington, DC. It is the only U.S. representative of Fairtrade International, championing Fairtrade Standards in the United States.

Fairtrade America works with consumers and brands to grow demand for Fairtrade products, the world’s most widely recognized ethical label. Buying products with the FAIRTRADE Mark makes a positive difference for small-scale farmers and workers. Products bearing the Mark meet the social, economic and environmental standards set by Fairtrade.

The FAIRTRADE Mark is backed by:

•  The internationally-agreed Fairtrade Standards

•  Strong producer involvement in all decision-making

•  An independent certification system through FLO-CERT

•  A global network offering support to producers

The FAIRTRADE Mark appears on over 27,000 products sold in more than 120 countries.
