The world needs well trained and highly networked peacebuilders to address our immense collective issues head-on. Today, we are proud to announce the official launch of IPSI Practitioner Intensives, and in doing so, we re-commit IPSI to empowering the next generation of peacemakers.

Practitioner Intensives are 1-2 day “intensive” training courses taught by leading experts to prepare students for a career in peacebuilding, development, and security. We provide trainees with key concepts and practical skills on topics such as Countering Violent Extremism, Governance, Peacemaking, Program Design, Resilience, Civilian Protection, and others.  The courses rely on cutting-edge experiential teaching methodologies that simulate real-life situations and demand a high-level of engagement from participants.

Some of our upcoming Intensives include:

  • Negotiating for Peace as a Non-State Actor taught by Charles F. “Chic” Dambach, Adjunct Faculty, American University and Johns Hopkins University
  • Reintegrating Former Fighters, DDR in an Era of Countering Violent Extremism taught by Dean M. Piedmont, Managing Director, Lecturer & Professor, The Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism Initiative
  • Enhancing Your Resilience: A Practical Approach taught by Andres Martinez, Director, IPSI
  • Building Sustainable NGOs for Social Impact taught by Cameron M. Chisholm, Founder, IPSI
