Jeremy Doran is a Communications Assistant who works with the Communications and Digital/Design Directors to bolster InterAction’s outreach efforts and effectively promote its Member organizations’ work.
After years studying the nexus of mass communication and international security, Jeremy has grown to understand how vital a robust communications strategy is in the humanitarian aid sector. Narratives drive conversation, and Jeremy is looking forward to telling stories that need to be heard.
Jeremy is trained in conflict resolution, emergency communications, and nonprofit management. He is also a certified florist and cheerleading trainer, thanks to his more adventurous days in college. Prior to joining InterAction in August of 2019, Jeremy worked as a Communications Aide for the National Immigration Forum in Washington, D.C, where he played a major role in scaling-up the Forum’s digital presence and producing the Forum’s podcast, Only In America.
Jeremy is from the small town of Sonora, Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government and a Bachelor of Science in Strategic Communications from the University of Texas at Austin. In his free time, Jeremy can be found planning his next trip or practicing his Spanish in one of D.C.’s trendy coffee shops.
