Heavy industry, the pressing need to generate energy and jobs for more than 1.3 billion people, and the systematic failure of adhering to operational standards has led to dangerous levels of pollution and environmental degradation. However, the need for more sustainable practices has not gone unrecognized by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).


SNV USA provides innovative solutions in Agriculture, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, and Renewable Energy to 38 developing countries worldwide. An affiliate of SNV, we are a registered US non-profit organization, connecting North American partners to sustainable global development. SNV USA has formed a number of exciting partnerships with prominent donors, such as USAID, USDOS, UNICEF, the World Bank, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Master Card Foundation, Dubai Cares, the Clinton Global Initiative and the Ford Foundation.

Volunteers for Economic Growth Alliance (VEGA)

The programmes implemented by ACTED (around 260 per year), in Africa, Asia, Middle East and Central America/Caribbean, aim at addressing the needs of the populations affected by wars, natural catastrophes and/or economical and social crises.
