Budget and Appropriations

InterAction works with its members to promote a robust U.S. foreign assistance budget. Our community engages with Congress to ensure the U.S. remains focused on ending global poverty and on helping people make better lives for themselves and their families, all around the globe.

Civil Society Education

InterAction works to educate Congress and member organizations about policies that inadvertently harm NGO operations and advocates against policies and practices that restrict the ability of civil society organizations to save lives.

Congressional Education

InterAction and its member organizations strive to educate members of Congress on the fundamental principles and operations of international development, humanitarian action, and U.S. foreign assistance programs.

Democracy, Rights, and Governance

With its members and partners, InterAction seeks to promote human rights, support government transparency and accountability, and advocate for independent and politically active civil society across the globe.

Disinformation Toolkit

In response to a growing concern over false and misleading information, InterAction is helping NGOs initiate a conversation on how disinformation may impact them and creating resources to help them address it.

Food Security and Agriculture

In order to address rising hunger and malnutrition, InterAction advocates for and supports investments in food and nutrition security and agricultural development, which can act as engines of economic growth and reduced poverty, directly addressing the root cause of acute hunger and malnutrition.

Global Food Security Act

Globally, hundreds of millions of people are hungry and malnourished. Since it was enacted, the Global Food Security Act will help millions of people in developing countries to live healthy, productive lives, and InterAction has played a leading role in convening a broad group of NGOs and other stakeholders to help shape this legislation.

Global Health

InterAction works with its members to share programmatic approaches, identify gaps in health delivery and policy, and develop recommendations for addressing health needs and improving services to poor and at-risk populations.

Humanitarian Field Missions

InterAction field missions seek to examine critical humanitarian issues and trends, and how they are being addressed by humanitarian actors, in order to highlight key issues and recommend possible strategies and measures to address them to practitioners, policymakers, donor governments, and humanitarian leaders.
