Omolola Adewunmi

Omolola Adewunmi joined InterAction in 2017 as a Program Associate for the Humanitarian Policy & Practice Team, where she supports HPP workstreams and various working groups including Lake Chad Basin, Great Lakes, South Sudan/Sudan and Syria/Iraq. Prior to joining InterAction, Lola gained practical experience in the humanitarian sector through internships with the International Rescue Committee, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants. 

Lola received her M.A. in International Affairs with a dual concentration in International Law and Organizations and Conflict and Conflict Resolution from the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University. While at the Elliott School, Lola studied abroad in Tel Aviv and completed coursework at the University of Oxford on International Human Rights Law and Refugee Law. She also conducted field research in Amman, Jordan on the protection needs of Palestinian refugees from Syria in Jordan. Lola holds a B.A. in International Relations from Boston University’s Pardee School of Global Studies as well as minors in Arabic and Dance.
